Tangity / NTTData - Embodied Systems Workshop
How would our design change if we understood that we are living systems and our organisations are living systems?
Tangity / NTTData - Embodied Systems Workshop
What?
We collaborated with Tangity/NTTData to offer a workshop in Helsinki for their customers including Toyota, Hitachi and Panasonic. Led by Erika Eva Kuittinen, this dynamic and playful workshop was designed for business leaders to discover the power of systems thinking through innovative embodied practices.
In this workshop, the participants learned to view systems as integrated wholes rather than isolated parts, using the group of people as a living example of a system. We demonstrated the distinction between living systems and mechanistic views, highlighting their implications for modern business.
How?
The workshop incorporated exercises inspired by theatre, system sensing, and embodied practices to exemplify these novel approaches. Through hands-on activities, the participants gained insights into how these businesses could be designed more as living systems and why it’s crucial in our times.
